Welcome to SymStudio SymStudio 0.991 beta with SymBasic has been released and is available from the downloads area. At the moment this version is for testing purposes, so if you find any issues with symbasic or want to suggest functions / commands / features for the futures releases please drop me an email. I realise there are issues with the code editor which will slowly improve over the coming days. You can read my regularly updated developers blog here. Over the coming days I will regularly update symstudio with fixes, and add to the tutorials. Slowly during this process as commands and functions are nailed down I'll add to the documentation pages. This will slowly build to an official 1.0 release of symstudio. SymStudio is a suite of tools and editors to help developers create applications and other media for the multitasking preemptive operating system SymbOS. With SymStudio you can create forms, code, graphics and even video and export it to the brand new 8-bit OS SymbOS History
I first saw SymbOS several years ago and was amazed at what was being achieved on a computer
most thought unable to run such an advanced operating system. However it was clear that without
support like every other operating system that it would dissappear no matter how good, and therefore
I wanted to help in anyway I could.
Having got in touch with Prodatron the coder of SymbOS he said the most useful thing
that was needed would be a form editor. With that in mind SymStudio started life as a simple form editor with limited functionality. However after several years and many hours it has grown into a fully fledged IDE, which allows you create and modify all the common symbos file formats SymStudio Website This website has been created as its obvious that I needed to document the package fully, and allow people to expand and request information. Hopefully this site will intime become a full repository for SymbOS developers. Hope you like the site and that it brings out even more enjoyment of symbos and that it promotes development for this fantastic operating system. If you find any bugs with the actual SymStudio application or anything about the website then please drop me a line at the email me address on the left.
